Today we catch up with The F16s‘ video for “My Baby’s Beak” off the band’s upcoming EP “WKND FRNDS” due out May 31st on House Arrest. The four-piece hails from Chennai, India, and they earned “Artist to Watch” from Rolling Stone India in 2013 after the release that year of their EP Kaleidoscope. The group’s new four song effort follows up on their 2016 LP Triggerpunkte. Having recently signed to Oxford, Mississippi’s House Arrest this past March, the label explains:

“We were fascinated to discover The F16s writing and performing such relatable pop-rock songs so many miles away. We had to reach out to see what their story is, which eventually led to us working together. Their new EP WKND FRNDS is a big step for The F16s and we’re excited to see the reaction in both India and over here in the US.”

On “My Baby’s Beak,” the band blends psych and soul into a woozy, smoked out exploration of desire. Discussing the EP’s second single, vocalist-guitarist Josh Fernandez says the song is “about sexual freedom, while still having your hunger for intimacy.” The video for the cut has a seductive vibe that blends kaleidoscopic imagery into a sensual fever dream.
