Art Feynman, the sometimes solo recording project for musician/producer Luke Temple, returns with a brand new track entitled “The Physical Life of Marilyn” off his upcoming Half Price at 3:30 LP due out June 26th on Western Vinyl. The follow-up to ā€œIā€™m Gonna Miss Your World,ā€ a lunar slice of spectral funk, this new offering seems to wrestles with more difficult emotional terrain.

“The Physical Life of Marilyn” deals with two people’s decisions about whether they want to have children or not. The weight of these life choices and the implications for this relationship can be heard right from the song’s opening. The anxious churning of guitar immediately suggests the gravity of what is at hand as the song’s protagonist wrestles with his solitary rumination. Intimate and bittersweet, the track stands in contrast to “I’m Gonna Miss Your World”‘s lighter take on loss, but it also demonstrates the upcoming album’s deep emotional range.
