Camila Fuchs have a new video for their track “Moon’s Mountain” from the duo’s upcoming LP Kids Talk Sun out November 13th via Felte Records. Comprised of members Camila De Laborde (Mexico City) and Daniel Hermann-Collini (Munich), the pair is currently based out of Lisbon, Portugal. Their upcoming album was recorded with Spacemen 3’s Sonic Boom (Peter Kember) in an idyllic setting outside of the city, and the track “Moon’s Mountain” is imbued with that atmosphere.

The duo’s time recording their upcoming album seems to have left a significant impression on them, with the new song in particular poetically narrating key memories from the process. They explain:

“It’s the song that references moments and places during this time: experiencing psychedelics, encountering days with odd colored skies, the moon drawing the mountain we see from afar, the non-need of being careful, Pete coming by and dropping off plants at our doorstep morning after morning, sitting and waiting for the music-making to start, the love that spread from day to day.”

The self-directed video for the song follows suit with various snippets from the time collaged into a psychedelic memory of their experience. Camila Fuchs describes the visuals as a “condensed diary” or “photo album” comprised of “all the strange things we liked which caught our eye.” Combining off-handed moments with keenly observed natural phenomenon like a beetle motoring across the sand or a ladybug in a flower, “Moon’s Mountain” has the hazy delicacy of a well-savored memory.
