Listen Now: FUZZ/CCR Headcleaner Split 7″

499

Today we take a listen to the new 7″ installment from the Famous Class Less Artists More Condos series, and this one features a split between Ty Segall’s FUZZ project, and SF sludge punks CCR Headcleaner. FUZZ finds Segall playing drums with his longtime pal Charlie Moonheart on guitar, and Roland Cosio on bass. For their side of the split, they cover the classic 60’s Kinks’ track “Till the End of the Day“, however when they sing “You and me are free/we do as we please/from morning/till the end of the day”, while an inferno of flame throwing guitar scorches all in sight, you sense this gang has more dubious intents in mind! Speaking of dubious, for the B-side, CCR Headcleaner really let their hair down on the track “Free the Freaks“, which unleashes a hot lava flow of chemically impaired mumble-core that has “bong anthem” written all over it. Unfortunately, all the limited edition vinyl copies on mustard with milky white splatter have sold-out, but classic black is still available. In addition, remember that all digital sales of the split 7″ go to the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1’s Save the Music, a non-profit dedicated to saving music education in American public schools! Rock on!!
