Mexican Slang‘s Inside the Velvet Castle EP came out this week on Buzz Records, and today we take a look at their new video for the track “Blisters“. Like the previous visual offering for “Halcyon“, “Blisters” is directed by the group’s guitarist and vocalist Annabelle Lee, and it features additional “found” footage from the band’s bassist Jimmy Tony, as well as Mexican Slang live footage from Scarlett Rose. Here, Lee composites and collages a psychotronic mix of medical footage, B-grade horror, some live clips, and seemingly, whatever else that could be found on the cutting room floor. Guaranteed to blow your head off, a disorienting mix of visuals follows as we watch eye surgeries, invasive cavity searches, sex lessons from a nun, an “observation of the act of voiding”, as well as learning “the indescribable delights of the female planet”, and more!
