Aussie guitar punks Deaf Wish will release their 4-song EP St. Vincent on October 7th via Sub Pop, and today we take a look at the band’s new video for “Cool Comment“. Vintage, yet timeless in it’s sound, this track kicks into loud and shaggy rock bliss with a screech of feedback and DJ Nick’s inducement, “Like you heard it for the first time”. The video features a bummed out punk rock chick who gets happy when she finds the latest copy of her favorite fanzine, where she follows the romantically doomed exploits of Deaf Wish’s Sarah Hardiman and Nick Pratt. Presented in the form of a graphic novel, Hardiman and Pratt’s ill-fated affair ends badly when Pratt’s record collection takes precedent over Hardiman…that is, until she takes a match to it! Deaf Wish kick off a tour of the US later this week in Columbus, Ohio, so don’t miss the dates after the video embed…
