Techno producers Will Azada and Alex Falk join forces on the Illuminati Traqckz EP, a new 4-song, split 12″ out now on CGI Records. In case you’re just catching up, you can always count on this pair to deliver the premium goods, and here they lock onto some serious grooves to bring their no-nonsense brand of minimal techno. Today we check out Falk’s track “Blazeit“, the final cut on the new EP. Driving kick with unrelenting hi-hat on the backbeat make for some really zoned-out and kinetic bliss, before a monophonic bassline bubbles to the surface to complete the producer’s single-minded focus. Drum and bass prevail until a clipped vocal sample comes in about midway, ping-ponging thru the low-end with what sounds like somebody choking on an inhale. Guess it’s true, you gotta cough to get off!
