!!! (Chk Chk Chk) have a new single entitled “This Is The Door.” You can find the track on the group’s forthcoming LP Wallop due out August 30th on Warp Records. The album finds the band delving into ’90s era nostalgia with frontman Nic Offer deadpanning: “I know all the ’80s stuff already, so it’s like, ‘What did happen in the ’90s?’ Because in the ’90s, we were just listening to James Brown.”
Offer goes on to say that the band sought “to get loose and get into uncharted territory” on their newest long-player. That meant recording the album at his apartment and messing around with gear the band still didn’t quite understand. Also, it allowed a host of friends to make appearances on the record with Wallop featuring guest vocals from Sink Ya Teeth’s Maria Uzor, Liars Angus Andrew, Glasser’s Cameron Mesirow, and !!! co-vocalist Meah Pace.
